Independence Weekend sparks celebrations along the North Coast

The celebration of Independence Day is in in full force all over the North Coast. We have a rundown of some of the most fun celebrations of the U.S.’s independence all over.

Del Norte

This is a huge town celebration with a parade through downtown starting at 10:00am.  There will be food, merchandise, and game booths at Beachfront Park all day following the parade.  One of the biggest fireworks show on the north coast starts after 9:00pm.

Humboldt County

Come play along the Eureka boardwalk, and celebrate Independence Day with great food, live music, and fun for all ages. The festival spans five city blocks along Second Street. Vendor booths will feature a wide variety of foods, crafts, commercial items, fine art and community groups getting the word out about their organizations.

There will be classic cars, electric cars, motorcycles, kids activities, fire trucks, horse & carriage rides, speeder card rides (1st & E Street) Johnston Amusement Carnival (foot of D Street), and much more.

Lake County celebrates Independence Weekend for four days, with community celebrations, parades, car shows, worm races and fireworks all over. As part of this year’s celebration there will be the 50th annual Worm Races as part of the 60th annual Redbud Parade and Festival. Of course there will be car shows, cardboard and duct tape boat races and over half a dozen fireworks shows all over Lake County.
